The Office

The Office is an NBC sitcom that takes place in the daily happenings of the employees of Dunder Mifflin Paper Products in Scranton, PA. This episode on this episode, its not what happened inside the office, but what happened with two employees outside of it. Jim and Pam got married after an array of events that put such an occasion in doubt. The two did get married but there were many commercials that were a subject of this episode as well. In the beginning of the episode, the boss -Michael had a discussion that involved some Disney-Pixar movies such as Up, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo.

Later on, while another employee -Andy was on the dance floor, he use a reference to Baskin Robins. During the commercial break, the CW aired commercials there were most notably mentions of Car Ads and Fast Food. This was notable because often when two people get married, and start a family a car is the main priority. This was a good example of "Hypercommercialism."

An example of "Product Placement" was when the couple had a couple of scenes where they boarded "The Maid of the Mist" boat that lines the Niagra Falls. There weren't many examples of Brand Entertainment in this episode. These topics is very relevant to a lot of shows I watch on a daily basis, but never focused on.
